PEARL PACKS​

A Pearl Pack is a leadership kit that provides girls with tools and activities that promote self-confidence and foster leadership skills. Each pack includes a hand written note from our volunteers, a book focused on leadership, interactive activities geared towards a positive self-image and confidence, a journal focused on strengths and interests, and a goal tracker to promote accountability. Pearl Packs are distributed to middle/high school girls from various Southern Dallas school districts. Our goal is to distribute 500 Pearl Packs in 2023. 

HER T-SHIRT CAMPAIGN

The HER t-shirt campaign is inspired by women of color in leadership, past and present. It serves as a reminder to Black and Brown girls to be confident leaders. Our aim is to change perceptions about what is possible for girls and young women, and to encourage them to take up positions in leadership. Every t-shirt purchased will allow us to distribute Pearl Packs and fund other leadership programs within the organization. GIRLS IN PEARLS LUNCHEON 

Our annual Girls in Pearls Luncheon is our most impactful event of the year! We gather girls and women from all over Texas and focus on various topics affecting girls and women of color. In previous years our focus was providing tools to help identify purpose. As well as budgeting and college readiness, mental/physical health and hair/skin care tips. We provide opportunities for girls to hear from women who are leaders in their respective fields. As well as a safe space where girls can be creative and feel empowered to pursue leadership roles. We also recognize girls who have showed exemplary leadership in service to her community.
